An excellent opportunity has now arisen for a Level 2 / 3 Network Engineer to join their team. As a Level 2 / 3 Network Engineer, you will join our client’s Cork-based security operations centre and will be tasked with day-to-day network monitoring and network security tasks. Joining a highly skilled and passionate team, you will have the chance to work with leading organisations on cutting edge, interesting and varied technical set-ups. You will monitor networks and systems for security breaches; triage and prioritise events and alerts, and investigate violations if they occur. Additionally, your role will include: - Providing security support and analysis - Escalating security issues as required - Undertaking basic forensics - Detecting malware - Analysing behaviour, solutions and improvements - Creating reports to document security breaches and the extent of any damage Interested? If so, you will need: - At least two years’ previous experience in a network engineering role - An understanding of the cyber security landscape, including emerging risks and security solutions - Knowledge of Security Intelligence Systems - Knowledge of AD, IDS/IPS and Firewalls - Excellent reporting capabilities - A degree (or equivalent) in computer science or an IT related field Analytical and dedicated, as a Level 2 / 3 Network Engineer, you’ll be eager to challenge convention and capable of thinking your way around the most complex of problems. Your customer-facing skills will be second-to-none, as will your communication and interpersonal abilities, and you’ll be willing and eager to go above and beyond to get the job done.
