Then you might be the right candidate for the position as lead engineer within the Loads department. Engineering > Control Engineering > Load & Control Vestas Power Solutions is where new product ideas are developed, matured, improved and tested. To put it short, we are shaping the future of modern energy and we operate on a global scale with more than 1,300 employees. As a part of Vestas Power Solutions, the Load department is responsible for delivering design loads, power curves and noise levels in new product development, technology development, innovation projects, during product improvement initiatives and during sales support. Currently, the department consists of 16 highly skilled and motivated engineers situated in Aarhus, Denmark and in Chennai, India. The department is a part of the Loads & Control department which consist of 50 employees. Responsibilities You will be technical responsible for providing Loads and Performance engineering solutions to new and existing products including delegation of tasks to project team. This involves e.g. calculation of design loads, power curve and noise levels for new products as well as documentation and certification. Further the work can involve technology development. The job involves high level of engineering i.e. balancing a solution towards various specific requirements. You will mainly work with aero-elastic simulation software and time series analysis. Further you will be involved in verification of load levels and power curves through wind turbine prototype field measurements. You will be responsible for documenting and presenting your work in a precise way to your internal and external stakeholders. Qualifications You have: A M.Sc. or Ph.D. within structural-, civil-, wind- or mechanical engineering. 3 - 6 years of relevant experience within wind energy or rotorcraft engineering. Proven experience in aero-elastic tools such as Flex5, Bladed, FAST, HAWC2 or similar. Knowledge within dynamic simulation of mechanical systems. Hands-on experience within calculations / simulations in product or technology development. Experience in technical leading a project including delegation to project team. Solid language skills in English (speaking and writing). You might have: Programming experience preferably in Matlab. Knowledge of control of mechanical systems. Knowledge of strength calculations.
