For our Offshore Electrical Engineering department we are looking for an experienced Lead Engineer, who will be responsible for the design of Inter Array Cable systems including high voltage sea cables, accessories, interfaces, supplier handling and specification of QA and test methods. You will be working with existing as well as groundbreaking technologies in the leading company for offshore wind, adding to a greener future for the world. What are my responsibilities? The department provides complete packages within array cable system designs, concepts for supply and installation including tender process, technical supplier qualification and you are a major contributor to these activities. You combine a strong insight in cable system engineering with a project mindset leading to cost efficient solutions. You are already highly specialized in cables and you continuously strive for new learning within technologies, cable system design and interface management, and thereby ensuring best in class technical and cost optimized solutions. More specifically your tasks will include: Responsibility for development of technical concepts and requirements for high voltage array cables and related equipment Design of optimized array cable systems for offshore wind farms Identifying, understanding and managing interfaces and risks Providing complete technical material for tender processes followed by evaluation of technical offers from subcontractors and participation in technical negotiations and procurement of cables and accessories Technical support to quality assurance at vendor’s- and at our sites, incl. assessments, monitoring, and reporting of supplier performance Supporting in defining installation concepts and supervision of those during project execution Continuous development and improvement of processes, documentation, and methods required to ensure efficient and best practice design of cable systems and interfaces What do I need to qualify for this job? You hold a B.Sc.EE or M.Sc.EE (power systems) or similar education Minimum 3 years of high voltage cable system design experience from one or more of the following areas: Wind farm business, Power plant, Grid operator, Manufacturing or Consultancy business Ideally you have experience from large scale international wind projects, where you worked with array or export cable systems You possess strong analytical skills within the electro technical area and you communicate fluently in English You are enthusiastic about learnings within subsea cables and you are eager to extend our competences on subsea cables Structured, proactive and self-driven, and a flexible approach to your tasks Your personality is characterized as positive, open minded and self-driven enabling you to work with colleagues from multiple cultures in a large international organization And most of all, you love the fun and challenges by building the largest wind farms in the world.
