In FLSmidth’s Plant Service Maintenance department we are experiencing rapid development. For this reason we are seeking a new colleague to join our strong and dynamic team of Service Engineers. Presently, we are 28 colleagues who perform services that undertake maintenance in order to secure the best plant availability to our customers all around the world. Detailed Description Maintenance and inspection of plants worldwide As part of the Customer Service Maintenance team you will service mechanical equipment and perform kiln inspections on cement and mineral plants. We carry out state of the art measurements and comprehensive inspections and calculations of rotary equipment and subsequently give recommendations to support our customers professionally. More specifically, you will have a string of tasks, e.g.: · Inspection and service of rotary kilns in cement and minerals plants · Emergency troubleshooting · Supervision of repair and installation jobs · Technical reporting and presentations · Sales support eg seminars, training sessions etc. During your first years of employment with us, you can anticipate around 160 travel days as you will be trained on site throughout the world. Over time you will play a vital role in our Technical Service Centre in Copenhagen in ensuring growth in our service business. Job Requirements Engineering degree specialised in Mechanical Construction You are a Marine Engineer (Maskinmester) or have a degree in Engineering. From previous positions you have gained solid knowledge of equipment and service solutions enabling you to work with areas such as sales and basic economics. It could benefit your application if you hold specific, advanced knowledge of hydraulic systems maintenance or advanced welding technology including hard facing/refurbishment. Moreover, you have excellent IT competences. Adaptable and goal-focused team player with desire to see the real world The preferred candidate would have a couple of years’ experience as an Engineer, or you may have recently completed your engineering degree, preferably with relevant experience from previous jobs. A global mind-set would be advantageous, along with an ability to understand local client requirements and combine your theoretical knowledge with hands-on problem solving, when things do not go according to plan. As a person you have a keen eye for comprehensive solutions. You thrive on handling complex challenges and working independently as well as part of a team. As you will gain a broad contact network consisting of both colleagues and customers, you must be a skilled communicator and possess solid interpersonal skills. Having excellent written and spoken English is a necessity and any other language is a bonus.
