As part of the global tax department for Maersk Drilling you will be managing all international corporate tax matters and other tax related matters within a well-defined area of Maersk Drilling. The current tax team consists of 4 very experienced tax professionals and 2 students. You will also be part of transforming the tax department at Maersk Drilling into a full service tax department as part of the Maersk Energy division’s strategy of separating the business units. Key Responsibilities You will be responsible for managing all international tax matters within a well-defined area of Maersk Drilling's activities which amongst other includes tax planning and structuring in connection with contract bids globally. This will truly provide an excellent platform to develop your international tax skills and competencies. We will expect you to remain up to date with developments in tax legislation and participate in relevant courses and seminars. You will also have good opportunities for professional development within the company. Travel to oil producing countries will be required, sometimes with short notice. Furthermore, you will share the Tax Department’s responsibility for tax reporting, acquisitions and restructuring, tax risk management, tax audits, contractual issues, documentation of cross-border transactions etc. involving both Danish and foreign tax issues. Who we are looking for We are looking for a person with a minimum of 4 years of practical international corporate tax experience in a multinational corporation, audit firm, law firm or the tax administration. A relevant qualification is required, e.g. LLM, ACA, CPA, Cand.Jur, Cand.Merc.Aud, Cand.Merc.Jur, MTA or Tax Administration Exam. It is a prerequisite to have excellent communication and written/verbal English skills. The position is based in Maersk Drilling HQ, north of Copenhagen, and will be on local terms and conditions.
