We’re looking for a MI Reporting Accountant to join our Financial Reporting team. In this role you’ll manage the team to produce, analyse and report on the groups internal cost MI, including challenging expenditure, and report Group Financial MI to the wider business. About the Role Assist the Financial Reporting Actuary with planning the department’s core activities. Manage the production of the monthly Group profit information. Report and analyse the Group’s cost base, ensuring good quality principles and controls are embedded within monthly and annual processes. Prepare first drafts of Board Reports for Monthly Financial Performance Results, including the Group Operating Report. Provide support to the Strategic Planning Accountant and the business in production of cost forecasts. Co-ordinate work relating to the detailed cost allocations and management recharges between the Society and its subsidiaries. Provide support for the business by producing monthly subsidiary Management Accounts and supporting MI as required Assist the Strategic Planning Accountant with work relating to forward-looking strategic planning exercises, undertaking modelling and reviews and providing challenge where appropriate. Conduct all aspects of line management. Seek and lead opportunities in continuous improvement, streamlining reporting and processes where possible. About You To be considered for this opportunity you must be a qualified accountant with up to date knowledge of the statutory and regulatory framework for life office reporting. We’re also looking for someone who is a strong communicator and has experience managing a team of finance professionals.
