Currently, we are looking for an experienced Director Distribution Sales EMEA to be located in any of the following Danfoss locations: Hamburg, or Neumünster, Germany or Nordborg, Denmark. You will have a leading Sales Management role for one of our major sales channels via well established distribution and partner networks in the EMEA region. Based upon your market knowledge and good understanding of our product portfolio, as well as sales channel experience, we need you to develop strategies and objectives to ensure profitable growth and achieve sales-, price-, profitability- and cost-targets. In alignment with our Best Customer Connect and Unique Customer Experience philosophies, you will also have to effectively lead the Sales Managers and Regional Account Managers who will report to you, directly and indirectly. You will be a Member of the European Sales Leadership team. Your key tasks and responsibilities •Grow sales through distribution partners in the designated area •Develop and follow-up on a healthy sales pipeline that enables Danfoss to achieve year-on -year profitable sales growth •Sales & fixed expense budget responsibility •Lead and coach the team ensuring team motivation and winning spirit by installing performance culture and manage performance both internally and with external partners •Implement price strategies that lead to positive net price development •Give input to and recommend current and future needs of products, solutions and services to the respective BUs •Approve special quotes and proposals in agreement with BU Sales and S&M Leadership guidelines •Give input to Global Demand Planning or sales and market development •Perform talent planning, succession planning, recruitment and regular and continued coaching of Account Managers •Understand competitors’ activities in Europe and world-wide Your profile •University graduation, preferably on Engineering or economics •Senior experience in sales management, leading international sales teams •Knowledge of distributions sales channels from same or other relevant industries •Knowledge of mobile applications market and related components (with preference on hydraulic components) would be beneficial but not a must •Proven track record in achieving significant sales results •Strategic mindset, to develop balanced growth for Distribution sales channel •Energetic, motivating, outgoing personality; strong communicator •Availability to travel frequently to visit customers, exhibitions •Fluent English required We offer•Professional & personal development •Competitive salary •Opportunity to influence company results on profitable growth •Be an active contributor in a very dynamic and successful Division •A global experience and career growth perspective If you would like to know more about the position, please contact Evgenia Wittal, Senior HR Manager Talent Acquisition at +49 69 8902 384.
