FULL TIME DEPUTY HEADTEACHER | £250 - £350 per day | Friendly and inviting Primary school | Potential Permanent Opportunity to start from January 2018 This friendly primary school, found in Ilford, is centrally located and is a modern, well-equipped environment, focused on improvement. The school has just recently got into special measures and requires a strong focus on teaching and learning. It has 2 forms of entry in each year group with a nursery attached. They require a senior leader who has experience of driving forward school improvement and is not afraid of new challenges. For this post you should be a compassionate experienced teacher who feels ready for school-wide leadership or an existing talented Deputy Headteacher who has accomplished all they can in their previous role who has a track record of 'Good' or better classroom practice and previous experience as a school-wide leader. You should possess an understanding of the significance of good relationships with parents and governors and how it can best benefit the school. This post requires a senior leader who has the skills to provide expert knowledge and implement researched strategies that will aid in the raising of performance. You should have the capability to inspire and instil a strong work ethic, setting a good example to your team as well as your pupils, and have the passion and drive to raise attainment. At this progressive school, as a Deputy Headteacher you will be a key member of the SLT. Your duties will include monitoring the areas where the curriculum is strong and replicating these to the weaker areas. As a Deputy Headteacher you will be leading as a pedagogical role model, showing the way for less experienced practitioners. Give your staff the opportunity to arrange one to one mentoring sessions with you, in order to help them progress their teaching skills and reach their potential. The position is initially temporary to begin with but, you will be reassessed in 6 months with the view of a permanent contract starting January 2018. The school are also looking for KS1 & KS2 Phase leader and other middle managers. The Headteacher of this school is interviewing at short notice with the view to appoint immediately to start in September.
