This includes providing advice, information, logging requests for services and taking payments. To undertake duties in relation to the delivery of council services and to contribute to the on-going development of Customer Service Operations, this includes Customer Contact Centre, Scottish Welfare Fund team, Customer Service Centres / Local Office and integrated Libraries. If the hourly rate of pay for the post is less than the Scottish Local Government Living Wage Rate a supplement will be paid.   Requirements You will possess excellent customer care skills with the ability to respond flexibly and sensitively to people with a variety of needs, even in challenging situations. This post is subject to a disclosure check which will be undertaken by Disclosure Scotland.  Responsibilities Customer Service Delivery is part of Communities Directorate and is accountable for the delivery of generic front line services and provides access to a wide range of services delivered by the Council and its partners. The key Service objectives involve providing essential services effectively and efficiently to improve customer experience when contacting Fife Council. Our network of Local Offices and integrated Libraries are the first point of contact for customers who visit the Council face to face. They provide information, advice and access to a wide range of services that Fife Council and our partners deliver. Within our office environment we provide a friendly, efficient and effective first point of contact for Fife Council citizens, visitors and businesses. Including providing advice, information, logging requests for services, taking payments and delivering first class customer service. The Individual You should have relevant experience providing a customer service which includes using your initiative to develop practical solutions to resolve a diverse range of customer issues/problems as a significant element of the job. You will possess excellent customer care skills with the ability to respond flexibly and sensitively to people with a variety of needs, even in challenging situations. Literacy and numeracy skills.
