Descripción de la oferta de trabajo:
Band 6 Cross-sectional Radiographer- MRI skills essential There has never been a more exciting time to join us. Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust T&G IC will provide the foundation for one of the first ICOs in England, bringing together a wide range of health and social care services for the benefit of local people. The ICO will manage a person’s entire care in the future, by linking up hospital services with community care and mental health services as well as working closely with GPs. We expect that, to fully transform these services, will take between three and five years. This is a unique opportunity for Tameside and Glossop to be at the forefront of developing more joined-up integrated care; and we are absolutely committed to getting it right. To get it right, we need the right, highly skilled, patient focused workforce throughout the whole process. We have an exciting opening for an experienced, committed Radiographer to join our Cross-sectional team, at a Trust recently rated as Good by the CQC. You must be patient focussed and motivated to deliver an exemplary service. This is a great opportunity to join our forward thinking and committed team in providing a quality service to our local community. You will be expected to work as part of a team within the Cross-sectional imaging department and commitment to supporting the CT on-call service is essential. There will also be an expectation that you will contribute to providing an extended working day service within CT and MR where necessary. Previous experience in MRI is essential, whilst CT is desirable, as we have a rolling in house training package and can provide training in the future. There is a fair rotation of staff through both CT and MR. We currently have 2 CT scanners, a Toshiba Aquilion Prime and a Siemens Emotion 16 and have recently re-developed our MR suite; this has improved patient safety, throughput and aesthetics. Our MR Scanner is a GE 450W. Due to recent service expansion we have ambitions for further developments in the coming year, including the purchase of a new CT scanner. There is a cohesive Cross-sectional leadership team consisting of the CT lead, MR lead and 2 deputy leads that provide excellent provision and support for the development of their staff. Over the last 12-24 months, we have experienced a number of improvements within our Cross-sectional imaging department. We are also a progressive department with a 4-tier staffing structure. We currently have 4 Advanced Practitioners in the Cross-sectional department, 3 trainee Advanced Practitioners, with a view to expanding this in the coming years. We are very patient-focussed, committed to audit and promote quality within the department. The Hospital is a District General Hospital with close links to neighbouring District General and Teaching Hospitals and there is some shared provision of Services in several subspecialty interests.
