Discover more at velux.com/career or velux.dk/karriere Right now we are looking for a new contract logistic consultant with experience in road transportation, warehouse/distribution centres and parcel processes and with great operational and commercial understanding. Someone who enjoy working with transport providers, commercial and operational stakeholders – who seek to understand and then challenge to improve the existing. Your challenges Joining our international team working with contract supplier negotiations and optimisation of logistics and transportation, you will be involved in many different tasks ranging from thorough analysis to being ‘in the field’ in order to understand the frames for the optimisation processes. You will work with every aspect within logistics covering tendering and competitive biddings with transport suppliers, development and follow up on suppliers and optimisations, design, implementation and support of logistic processes. In the beginning, you will primarily work with a range of European markets but in general you will have stakeholders on a global scale within the VELUX Group and with suppliers. Your primary tasks will be to: •Identify and analyse the opportunities to optimise the logistics area •Build up relations to international stakeholders within the VELUX Group and to suppliers •Advise and spare with European logistics organisations in terms of transportation •Follow up on the quality of supplier performance •Accomplish and participate in European tenders It is important that you have the flexibility and the willingness to travel, since you must expect 10-20 travelling days per year. Your qualifications You probably have a relevant academic education as MSc in logistics or the like and some experience from a similar job, preferably in an international company. If you also have experience or interest in Lean, continuous improvement tools and execution, our smiles will be even wider. You have a true dedication to your field of expertise and you have an analytic, systematic and persistent approach to task solving. Having an extrovert job with many stakeholders is something that really motivates you. People describe you as open and forthcoming – a person who collaborates and communicates easily with people across professional, national and cultural boundaries. You are a self-starter, you possess great drive and a lot of ‘can do attitude’. In addition, you are not afraid to stand by your decisions and on the same time you are also willing to learn. You speak and write of course flawless English. Experience with SAP will be a plus.
