Descripción de la oferta de trabajo:
Consultant General Radiologists Providing person-centred, high quality and effective care is at the top of our agenda and we pride ourselves in demonstrating our values that people feel cared for, safe and confident that we are making a difference in everything we do. This is an exciting time to join our radiology service in east Kent which has undergone a period of rapid development, including extended routine opening hours, giving people the freedom and flexibility, to have their diagnostic examination on a day and at a time that suits them. The roles of staff have also been developed to provide a constant first class service for our patients. The Trust has recently replaced the CT scanners at Margate and Ashford with state-of-the-art CT, to complement the GE 64-slice CT at Kent and Canterbury Hospital. There is an agreement to install an additional CT scanner at Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother Hospital and the William Hospital, bringing the total to 5. The Trust has 5 MRI scanners including a 3T at William Harvey Hospital which will support the developing ambulatory care model and further develop cardiac CT and CT colonography. We have opportunities for General Consultant Radiologists on a full time, substantive basis. As a General Consultant Radiologist you will be responsible for plain film reporting, CT, Ultrasound and MRI. We can accommodate or consider any sub-specialist interest, but it is desirable for candidates applying for the General Radiologist Consultant post to offer sub-specialist experience in GI/Colorectal or Gynaecological radiology. There is also considerable opportunity for candidates with sub-specialist interests in Cardiac radiology, Breast and Paediatric radiology. There are excellent relationships between the radiologists and clinicians, with weekly multidisciplinary meetings in all cancer sites, and other disciplines including neurology and stroke. We encourage and support research both within the Comprehensive Local Research Network CLRN and thought active Research &Development Department as well as having strong links with the University of Kent at Canterbury and Christchurch University. You should have a CCT or be on the Specialist Register. Applicants who are within the six months of obtaining their CCT are also eligible to apply. For further information and to arrange a visit please contact Dr Paul Matravers, Clinical Lead, Radiology and Consultant Radiologist 01843 for the General Radiologist positions or contact Dr Anne Greenhalgh, Divisional Medical Director and Consultant Radiologist 01843 234460.
