The Procurement function within the Ervia Shared Service Centre is responsible for providing Procurement support to the Ervia group of companies including Gas Networks Ireland, Irish Water and Ervia Group. Reporting into the Shared Services Procurement Compliance and Administration Manager the Procurement Compliance & Risk Specialist is responsible for the operation of an effective Governance Framework within the Shared Procurement function and manage a team. Main Duties and Responsibilities: • Responsible for the creation of a standardised reporting module for PD02 Compliance, working closely with the buyer teams to ensure the consistent use of this standard module. • Responsible for establishing a Procedure for tracking compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures. • Develop periodic reports on Compliance within the Procurement function as required. • Work with various Ervia Business Units to obtain, interpret, collate and report through established escalation process procurement compliance data. • Advise of statutory obligations with regards to procurement and implement new policies & processes to ensure compliance with these. • Assist all teams within SSP in the creation of Standard Operating Procedures. • Reviewing processes, procedures and policies to ensure systems are in place within the business to demonstrate compliance with relevant standards and legislation. • Carry out periodic compliance reviews and audit spot checks of the activities within Shared Procurement and Business Units to ensure relevant policies and procedures are being adhered to. • Maintain the Shared Service Procurement Risk Register and Work with internal audit and management team to ensure Internal Control & Risk Register Documents are up to date and completed timely. • Manage the short, medium and long term risks to ensure consistency and best practice across procurement. • Management of internal & external audits for the Shared Services Procurement Group and co-ordinate the implementation of any associated recommendations. • Input into projects with a procurement training element as required providing expert advice and strategy with regard to the quality of documentation and delivery of training required. • Working closely with the Procurement Team to ensure excellent customer service to internal and external customers. • Manage the Procurement Training administrator, ensure adequate delivery of all Procurement Compliance Training and any Projects that require Procurement training. • Manage and conduct the performance management and development process for direct reports. • Liaise and collaborate with; Heads of Business Functions in Gas Networks Ireland, Irish Water and Ervia.
