Descripción de la oferta de trabajo:
We are looking for Commissioning Engineers who will join our other 60 colleagues, for a demanding career that involves deployment to Cement and Minerals sites around the world. Cement and Minerals plants are often located in remote places, this mean that you will not be a sightseeing tourist but an integrated part of large-scale engineering challenges. As a Commissioning Engineer, you will be based in your home country but will be constantly deployed to our sites all over the world, you will be involved from the very first start-up to the actual run-in of the equipment in the cement and minerals industries. You will need to be ready to travel on short notice and be able to cope with a considerable amount of uncertainty in relation to destination and duration of the assignment. Detailed Description Engineering on the road – but off the beaten track You will meet all kinds of challenges, as making a large scale industrial production running, requires collaboration between different professions and, in the global work place, between different cultures. Your role will include: · Inspecting, testing and starting up the equipment for the very first time · Optimising performance to meet the guaranteed capacities and energy consumption levels · Reporting to head office with operational data and project progress · Executing performance guarantee tests before handing over to our client · Supervising and instructing our clients’ own operators and personnel It will be your job to make sure this is done – regardless of time of day and whether you are in Algeria, Philippines or Pakistan. As your experience grows, you can aim to become either Commissioning Manager and head the complete plant start-up – or maybe a specialist in milling or pyro-technology. This role means that you are constantly on the road so you will have to find creative ways to maintain a social life back home. Job Requirements Adaptable and goal-focused team player with desire to see the real world The preferred candidate would be a recent graduate in chemical, mechanical or marine engineering, preferably with a couple of years’ experience. A global mind-set would be advantageous, along with an ability to understand local client requirements and combine your theoretical knowledge with hands-on problem solving, when things do not go according to plan. Our expectations to you: · Flair for thermodynamics and a interest in process optimization · Speak and write English effortlessly · Well-founded on the Microsoft Office platform · Flexible, open minded and possess a good sense of humour · Pro-active and able to find compromises between multiple and conflicting interests · Motivated, keen to learn and willingness to commit to challenging objectives · Proficiency in other languages and cultures is a further and definite advantage. Additional Details Our commitment to you FLSmidth helps build societies all over the world by contributing to the infrastructure needed for global economic growth.
