dnata Travel is recruiting for a Commercial Analyst to support the award winning B2B brands of Gold Medal Travel and Travel 2, based at our office on Preston Docks. In this role, you will become the brand champion, focusing on daily trading and working with the business to deliver to targets. Proving relevant business performance, competitor and marketing analysis to support the creation of the pricing policies throughout the lifecycle of the product from brochure to late trading. You will also assist the Commercial Manager in identifying and maximising revenue and margin opportunities. Key Tasks: Monitor daily trading data to identify trends, risks and opportunities for growth. Provide analysis of demand trends to all stakeholders and make recommendations for product, price and promotional opportunities. Develop elasticity models that improve the robustness of pricing decisions. Track the ROI on margin changes and campaign expenditure in conjunction with marketing. Constantly review competitor activity both on & off line to schedules as agreed with Commercial Manager. Creation of reporting and information as required by the management team. Creation of pricing policies for brochure, web and marketing activity. Conduct analysis of destination opportunities to increase margin or turnover. Prepare full trading analysis to be reviewed in the brand specific planning meeting. Deliver reports to a set schedule to communicate competitor and market activity. Implement robust processes to ensure all pricing is applied through the business with 100% accuracy. Identify market trends for products and destinations and communicate them in line with timescales agreed. Review pricing barriers against competitors, to ensure our prices are in line with market and identify where offers are missing. Work with key stakeholders across departments (Product, Marketing, Agency Sales, finance & aviation) establishing a professional approach that ensures the coordination and resolution of all commercial issues To provide information for and attend regular review and planning meetings with the Commercial team to review performance, plan for up & coming challenges and update and discuss business and departmental issues. Provide key statistics to ensure financial objectives are being achieved Essential Skills, Knowledge and Experience: Financial/Commercial background – degree or equivalent/ Part Qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) - desirable Advanced Excel Attention to detail Excellent communication skills – verbal & written High level of numeracy and analytical skills with clear/concise recommendations Sound commercial awareness ideally within the travel industry Able to evaluate and monitor impact of decisions and modify where appropriate Team player with strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating maximum flexibility, Ability to work to tight deadlines Self-motivated and have a pro-active approach Ability to work on own initiative Customer focussed
