We are seeking experienced Healthcare Assistants to care for our clients, in the area of Gillingham, through our Yeovil branch. The Position: As a Healthcare Assistant, you will be working in a range of nursing, care and residential homes providing the highest level of care for local service users. It is essential that you are confident in your ability to work in a calm, reassuring manner, putting the service users at the core of all you do. This could include a range of tasks and activities such as personal care, domestic tasks and general activities that allow that individual to live their life in the way they choose. As a healthcare professional, it is necessary to tailor your approach with each individual and provide care in line with their care plan. This is a flexible role and means you could be working for more than one home in the local area on a part-time or full-time basis. In order to be successful in this position, you will need to be a naturally compassionate person with a strong sense of empathy for those individuals in your care. You should be willing to travel and due to the location of some clients, access to your own vehicle is desirable. A certificate confirming your participation in a practical moving and handling course in the last 12 months, or be willing to book onto a Newcross course.
