Would you like to play a key role in supporting offshore teams in maintaining offshore process plants with respect to electrical and instrumentation, and do you want to become the Work Preparer, who, in collaboration with maintenance engineers, prepares and delivers complete packages for rectifying maintenance as well as breakdown issues offshore. Work Preparation is a key task in the onshore process of plan, prepare and organise maintenance work for safe and efficient execution offshore. The Work Preparer works in close collaboration with the offshore teams, the activity owners and the schedulers and drives the process of preparing maintenance work orders with respect to work scope determination, estimation of man-hours, ordering of materials and clarification of procedures and documentation. Key Responsibilities As Work Preparer you will implement safety to highest possible degree within work preparation in order to ensure incident-free execution offshore. You drive the daily Work Order Review Meeting in collaboration with the offshore teams. Furthermore you prepare maintenance work including determination of the activity scope, hereunder estimate and package the work with the tasks, materials, documentation and services to effectively complete the work offshore. You can utilize SAP and other computer applications to support the maintenance function thus providing technical assistance. In the job you will liaise with Production dept. to understand the complexity of performing the tasks and to ensure compliance with legislation, company standards and procedures. Who we are looking for As Work Preparer your background should include: • an education within Electrical and Instrumentation engineering • relevant experience within the oil industry (preferably offshore) of 5-10 years • knowledge of methods, materials, tools and equipment within the maintenance of oil and gas equipment • knowledge of safety hazards and appropriate precautions applicable to work assignments • high skills in applying technical knowledge to identify equipment problems and appropriate solutions in order to swiftly develop work packages • skills within use of SAP to prepare work packages and monitor materials availability The right person is dedicated and takes ownership, displays loyalty and responsibility. You possess a mind-set for collaboration across the organisation including good communication skills. You have the ability to maintain effective working relationships across assets and operations, including operators, vendors, contractors, subordinates, peers and superiors.
