Oticon has just revealed a new groundbreaking Velox platform for our next generation hearing aids. We are very proud of this achievement and not afraid of calling it a paradigm shift in hearing care. At the core of the platform lies our DSP with seven processors, enabling us to process data 50 times faster than our current fastest solution in the market. Consequently, our future hearing aid users will experience a better ability to separate speech from background noise. They will also have a better ability to follow conversations and not missing out, as the platform is able to analyze the environment 100 times per second. The IC digital group: The IC digital group has worked hard and dedicated on delivering the foundation for the Velox platform - but we do not rest here. We are already looking into further optimizations within the technology. This is why we need you, an experienced IC Digital Designer, to support us in bringing the next generation IC’s to life. Our goal is to drive both the design and the technology to the next level. The technical challenge: Design of ultra-low power components In your new job, you will become part of Oticon’s Processor IC and Tool flow team, which is responsible for designing and developing the digital components for the different ICs used in the hearing aids. The team consists of 14 designers and one team lead. The components we are developing are characterized by implementing signal processing in the IC to achieve extremely low power consumption and high integrality. To achieve this we work closely with the FW and SW algorithm to define and develop dedicated RTL and models. You can look forward to being involved in all phases of the development and design from pre-study to evaluation to the final IC. Thus, you will be involved in analyzing concepts, defining requirements for processors, designing, documentation, model driven verification with low level FW/SW. The team is furthermore responsible for developing efficient HW platforms for the audiology and audio signal processing. As you grow more firmly into your new role, we are able to offer you many other professional challenges within ASIC development for hearing aids. Solid understanding of ASIC/ASIP design Ideally, you have worked a few years in a business where the focus was on processor and HW accelerators for audio signal processing. An experience in developing c and SystemC models for verification and simulation is a definite advantage. You are familiar with some of the following: •HDL coding •Designing in a SoC ASIC Design flow •Experience with Audio DSP like filters, sample-rate-converters, and FFTs •Experience with modeling both at module and system level •Verification methodologies e.g. UVM, SVA, SystemC modeling •Experience with GCC/LLVM and embedded processor compilers •Experience with HW/SW build flows •Working experience in a LINUX/UNIX environment is an advantage Personally, you are the type of person that sees the benefit in cooperation and mutual knowledge sharing with your colleagues, and you have a positive attitude.
