A position has become available at a leading investment bank for the above position. Main Duties: The PMO will support the Programme Workstream Manager to provide a central point of coordination, plan development, management and assurance across c. 16 workstreams. The incumbent will require a working knowledge of Barclays and/or a global financial services organisation of equivalent size and complexity in order to be successful. Responsibilities will include providing SME project management and planning knowledge to workstreams, helping project managers to navigate the organisation to close out critical project milestones, ensuring that plans are developed and validated to the appropriate level relative to the scope of work, working with the Risk/Issue/Change Managers to ensure rapid and accurate escalation of current and forward looking plan issues. Key Accountabilities Programme Planning – 30% - Contributing to the Implementation of the programme planning framework as defined and ensuring its appropriate application within the workstreams, with focus on action and organisational navigation - Providing project management SME knowledge on plan development and maintenance - Providing plan assurance at workstream delivery plan level to allow confidence in overall delivery timelines. - Developing and managing integrated programme plans based on source data - Maintaining overall plan structure and integrity - Aligning with peer Programmes within the group to perform active dependency and programme interlock analysis to ensure delivery completes as required, and programmes of work are synergetic across the firm - Identifying and initiating Change requirements - Interacting with Barclays Internal Audit to provide assurance over progress - Analysing content to provide proactive resolution of upcoming delivery conflicts. Programme Governance and Reporting – 30% - Ensure that structures, processes and control artefacts defined by the Programme Governance Framework are fully implemented. - Provide PMO governance interlock with aligned programmes within the group. - Ensure consistent management, presentation and execution of all programme meetings from Workstream Leads to Executive Steering Committee - Maintain and deliver consistent all reporting artefacts required by the programme, building advance agendas targeted by upcoming areas of focus (by integrating with Risk/Issue/Change Manager, Planning Manager, Programme Delivery Lead). - Perform ongoing consistency and quality analysis on reporting. - Development of Steering Committee material (operating at Board Member level), Management Committee material at senior MD level, and for all corresponding forums. Programme Risk and Issue Management – 20% - Risk/Issue identification, investigation and capture at a programme level; understanding programme delivery and analysing content
